The new school is positioned slightly behind the existing school of Lugnorre in Haut-Vully, creating a dialogue with the protected building. The old school is therefore the most visible from the street of the village, while the new school has a privileged view from the lake road. The shape of the building comes from the site characteristics: The facades are oriented towards the unobstructed views through the nature. In addition, by creating the primary courtyard, the primary school is anchored with the kindergarten school. The classrooms are distributed over two floors. A shift of the classes allows dual orientation for each class and forms a fluid circulation space. The extension would be located to the north, using the available circulation space.
