Plot 12 is situated in the new urban development of Bern-Brünnen. The project follows the urbanistic pattern with its grid-like streets and housing blocks. As a reaction to the park in the east, the block is interrupted and reduced by one floor. The so gained permeability towards the internal courtyard creates a semi public space that applies to the peri-urban setting of the development.
The building structure is based on an alternating grid, allowing later changes in the size of the apartments. The layout of the apartments meets the spatial requirements of a diverse and changing tenant body.
