The rather undefined site with existing sport fields and a vocational school asked for a simple solution for improvement. The new building is placed lateral to the main road in order to create and connect a sequence of outside spaces. Set between the existing training field and the school the new sports hall establishes an urban square on one side while keeping up the pedestrian connection to the main sport field on the other. The perforated aluminum facade references the industrial buildings of the peri-urban setting.
